Daley Plaza 50 W. Washington – Free event!
On September 23, 2024, Chicago celebrated the 46th PEACE DAY Anniversary at Daley Plaza. Representatives from 193 countries proudly carried their flags, while city, state, and consulate officials from 50 countries were also in attendance. We had the honor of participating in the event, led by Honorary Consul Monir Choudhury. The celebration drew thousands of people from across the city.
It was a truly wonderful event, made even more festive by the patriotic Bangladeshi song “Nongor Tolo Tolo” and a spectacular dance performed by Mohammad Islam (Shan), which was widely appreciated.
